Man City team news: Pep Guardiola set to make major changes to starting XI

Manchester City will be looking to secure their passage to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League when they take on FC Basel on Wednesday night.

The Citizens have one foot firmly planted in the quarter-finals following their 4-0 victory over Basel in Switzerland a fortnight ago.

Ilkay Gundogan netted twice while Bernardo Silva and Sergio Aguero also got on the scoresheet in the first leg.

Manager Pep Guardiola is likely to rotate his squad following their emphatic first-leg win.

Star striker Gabriel Jesus is set for his first start since suffering a knee injury earlier this year. Fabian Delph is available for selection after serving his suspension while Raheem Sterling could return from a knee injury.

Summer signing Benjamin Mendy is ruled out with a long-term knee injury.

Star playmaker Ilkay Gundogan is available for selection tomorrow evening however, manager Guardiola may opt to rest the Germany international following his frequent run of games.
