Pep Guardiola’s side suffered a shock 2-1 defeat at the hands of Ligue 1 giants Lyon on Wednesday evening. The Spanish tactician is likely to shake his selection up following the defeat at home in the Champions League.
Fortunately for City, they are up against a Cardiff side which has failed to register a victory this season after five games.

Ilkay Gundogan could drop back to the bench after failing to impress during the week. The Germany international was withdrawn at halftime and replaced by Leroy Sane.
Left-back Benjamin Mendy is a major doubt for City after picking up a knee injury last weekend. Meanwhile, Kevin De Bruyne and Claudio Bravo are ruled out with long-term injuries.
Sane could make his first start of the season for Man City after impressing in his last two appearances off the bench.
