City boss Pep Guardiola suffered a massive blow following Sergio Aguero’s road accident on Thursday. The Argentina international will return to Manchester for an assessment but is expected to be sidelined for several weeks.
Aguero is currently City’s top goalscorer and found the back of the net during the Citizens win over Crystal Palace last weekend.
Ilkay Gundogan is expected to be included in Guardiola’s match day squad. The Germany international featured during City’s win over Shakhtar and is nearing full match-fitness following a ten-month injury layoff.
