Man City team news: Star man fails to make squad against Crystal Palace, Kompany could make return
Manchester City take on Crystal Palace at the Etihad on Saturday 23 September hoping to build upon a rich vein of form.
City have won four games and drawn one of their first five matches this season.
The Premier League leaders will be without Ilkay Gundogan for the Palace clash.
Gundogan made his first start in 10 months against West Brom in the mid-week League Cup clash.
The midfielder of Turkish origin ended up suffering an injury following a double footed tackle from behind by Claudio Yacob.
City would however, have team captain Vincent Kompany back. The Belgium international has made the provisional squad.
Palace meanwhile are expected to see Mamadou Sakho make his first Premier League start since joining the South London club on a permanent deal.
The Eagles will be without Wilfried Zaha who remains sidelined with a knee injury.
