Man City & Tottenham Join Race For Liverpool Starlet

Liverpool starlet Rhian Brewster has attracted widespread interest but Jurgen Klopp wants him to stay at Anfield and sign a new contract.

The Sun report that Manchester City and Tottenham have joined German clubs in the race for the 18-year-old.

Per the source, City have been monitoring the contract situation, while Tottenham have shown an interest.

Brewster’s contract scholarship deal expires in the summer and he will have to sign a new contract with Liverpool if he wants to stay on.

The Under-17 World Cup winner could follow in the footsteps of Jadon Sancho who has made a success of his move to Borussia Dortmund.

Meanwhile, Borussia Monchengladbach have taken England youngster Reece Oxford on loan, while RB Leipzig have ex-Tottenham head of recruitment Paul Mitchell looking for talent from the Premier League.

The report also claims that Monaco are interested in taking him to the French league.

Brewster will make the final decision over his future but it could be determined by the playing time he receives.

The rising star may struggle to break into the first-team in the Premier League.

Young players from the English top-flight have however, been able to receive more regular playing time abroad.

The young forward was born in London and represents England at Under-17 level but a little-known fact about the young forward is that he is eligible to play for Turkey.

A source close to the player revealed to Turkish-Football that the Reds wonder-kid has a Turkish mother and would be able to play for the Crescent-Stars at senior level.

The Turkish national side has several players born outside of Turkey such as Cenk Tosun, Hakan Calhanoglu and Oguzhan Ozyakup.
