Man City vs Man United: Confirmed Lineups – Gundogan Benched, Mourinho Drops Star Duo But Fellaini Starts

Manchester City take on Manchester United at the Etihad in the Premier League on Sunday.

Ciy head into the Manchester derby in second place but a victory would take them ahead of leaders Liverpool.

United meanwhile are currently 8th in the league, 10 points behind the Reds.

Ilkay Gundogan made the matchday squad for the Citizens but has been named on the bench as was the case mid-week against Shakhtar.

Gundogan only recently recovered from injury but was in contention for a start.

Bernardo Silva ended up getting the nod ahead of the midfielder of Turkish origin.

Gundogan is however, expected to feature at some stage during the game.

Pep Guardiola made no major changes, Mahrez starts along with Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero in attack.

United boss Jose Mourinho meanwhile, made two surprise decisions in dropping both Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba.

Mourinho did reveal that Pogba picked up an injury mid-week in the Champions League against Juventus.

Sanchez has been named on the bench while Pogba is not in the squad.

Romelu Lukaku is also on the bench yet again for the Red Devils with Martial starting up front.
