Yesterday Turkish-Football revealed that Manchester United scouts would be present during Galatasaray’s clash with Schalke 04 in the UEFA Champions League.

The Red Devils have been tracking Galatasaray’s 18-year-old defender Ozan Kabak.

Galatasaray’s young star did not disappoint on the night and put in a man of the match performance on his Champions League debut.

Kabak made seven clearances, one clearance off the line, four key tackles won, made seven interceptions while maintaining a pass accuracy of 92 percent.

Perhaps more impressively, Kabak did not to be phased by the occasion and often outshone his defensive partner Maicon who is ten years his senior.

Following the final whistle, a source close to Galatasaray told Turkish-Football that Kabak was the main topic among visiting scouts on the night.

Kabak could be back in action this weekend when the Lions take on Yeni Malatyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig.

Man United meanwhile are up against an in-form Everton side who have registered three wins in a row. The Red Devils are coming off the back of a 1-0 defeat to Juventus in the UEFA Champions League at Old Trafford.

Kabak has made six appearances for Galatasaray so far this season and has two years remaining on his contract with the Istanbul Giants.
