Man United Ace Could Be Set For MLS Exit As Los Angeles Galaxy Ramp Up Efforts To Sign Turkish Giants Target

LA Galaxy are edging closer to signing Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic according to ESPN FC.

Per the source, the MLS giants were nearing a deal before but Ibrahimovic’s knee injury lead to a breakdown in talks.

Ibrahimovic recovered from injury quicker than expected but has found playing time hard to come by this season.

The powerful striker has one goal in seven appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions this season.

The 36-year-old is likely to fall further down the pecking order following the recent signing of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal.

The Sanchez transfer has given La Galaxy a boost in their bid to land the forward.

The US based side could however, face competition reigning Super Lig champions Besiktas.

The Black Eagles are keen on signing the big Swede to fill the void left by Cenk Tosun who joined Everton on a big money move in January.

Besiktas are involved in the title race and will face Bayern Munich in the Champions League Last 16, although Ibrahimovic would be cup-tied due to already playing in the competition for United.

Ibrahimovic has won the league title at every club he has played for except United.

Although he has lifted three trophies with the Red Devils, the EFL Cup, Europa League and FA Community Shield.
