Man United on alert as Arsene Wenger makes admission about £42m contract rebel – places December deadline

Manchester United have been put on red-alert after Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger revealed that Mesut Ozil could be available in January.

The Red Devils have been linked with a move for Ozil in recent months. The 29-year-old previously played under United boss Jose Mourinho during his three-year spell in the La Liga.

The pair won the league title and league cud during their time in Madrid.

Ozil has under seven months remaining on his contract with Arsenal and could leave the club for free next summer.

Furthermore Ozil will be able to hold talks with clubs outside of the Premier League from January 1 onwards.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted that he will consider selling the Germany international during the January transfer window in order to cash in.

Wenger also stated that a decision will be made towards the end of December.

“No decision has been made on that front,” Wenger told beIN Sport .

“Do we let anyone go in January? We’ll have to think about that to see where we stand with them at the end of December.”

Arsenal take on north London rivals Tottenham in the Premier League this weekend.
