Man United boss Jose Mourinho’s summer target’s future cast in doubt – dropped from Barcelona squad

Turkey international playmaker and Manchester United summer transfer target Arda Turan’s future is looking increasingly uncertain.

The Red Devils were closely linked with a move for the star midfielder over the Summer with Spanish outlet AS stating that Jose Mourinho held talks with Turan.

Turan has fallen out of favour with Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde and was omitted from the squad which took on Atletico Madrid on Saturday. The 30-year-old is also an unwanted figure at his former side Galatasaray following a string of disappointing displays with the Turkey national team.

The latest report from Turkish outlet Mynet suggests Fenerbahce are preparing a move for Turan in January.

Per the source, clubs across Europe have been put off by the clubs valuation and Turan’s wage demands. Turan earns over €6 million per season in wages and still has three years remaining on his contract with Barcelona.

Man United held Liverpool to a 0-0 draw over the weekend and face Benfica in the UEFA Champions League this week.
