Fenerbahce has been closely linked with a move for Manchester United star defender Marcos Rojo over the past week.
We recently reported that the Yellow Canaries were set for talks with the Red Devils for the Argentina international.
A source close to Fenerbahce has now revealed to Turkish-Footballl.com that they are waiting for Man United boss Jose Mourinho to make a decision on Rojo’s future.
Per the source, Mourinho will make the final decision regarding the versatile defender’s future and may opt to keep him despite having five centre-back’s at the club.
It is clear Rojo does not feature in Mourinho’s plans as the Portuguese tactician was keen on signing another defender over the summer.
The Red Devils were linked with moves Diego Godin, Harry Maguire and Jerome Boateng.
Mourinho may, however, opt against selling Rojo as Man United will not be able to strengthen their squad until January.
Rojo, who has another three years remaining on his contract, was not included in Man United’s Premier League opener against Leicester City on Friday due to injury.
