Man United favourites with the bookies to sign Arsenal superstar
Manchester United have been made the favourite club to sign Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil.
According to numerous bookmakers (Paddy Power odds from 28 Nov pictured below), the Red Devils are ahead of Barcelona, Inter Milan and Bayern Munich in the race to land the Germany international.
However, the odds on Ozil remaining at Arsenal are still stronger than him leaving the club.
Ozil’s future at the north London-based club is still cast in doubt after failing to pen a contract-extension.
The 29-year-old has under seven months left on his current deal with the Gunners and could end up leaving the club for free next summer.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has insisted that the Gunners will not sell Ozil during the January transfer window.
The Germany international missed Arsenal’s win over Burnley FC due to an illness. Ozil is also a doubt for the north London-based club’s clash with Huddersfield tomorrow.
