The Europa league champions reportedly want £5 million [€7 million] for the 31-year-old but are prepared to discuss his transfer fee.

Ergun has since returned to Turkey where he will hold a meeting with the board regarding the latest developments.

Young has struggled for playing time this season making a total of 23 appearances in all competitions for United.

The England international has made just eight Premier League starts this season.

Galatasaray are preparing to replace 22-year-old winger Bruma who has just over 12 months remaining on his contract.
