Man United & Southampton given major transfer boost after Portuguese target refuses to train

Galatasaray star winger Bruma was among four players who refused to train yesterday.

Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik reported that Bruma, Wesley Sneijder, Chedjou and Nigel De Jong boycotted training in protest of manager Igor Tudor.

The head coach has been heavily criticised for his approach since taking over as Galatasaray manager in February.

The Lions have won just twice under the stewardship of Tudor.

Bruma was pulled from the recent Istanbul derby against Kasimpasa after just 18 minutes.

The Portuguese ace was not injured and Galatasaray went onto lose the game 3-1.

Wesley Sneijder meanwhile, was benched going into the derby clash before scoring almost immediately after being introduced.

Turkish-Football recently reported that both Manchester United have been scouting Bruma.

The young winger did recently hint that a summer move could be on the cards.

“I am still thinking about leaving, I do not think about it everyday and would like things to be different but it is on my mind,” Bruma was quoted as saying by Fanatik.

Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho is reported to be a fan of the Portuguese rising star.

“Mourinho told me he was impressed with my performance and that if I continue I will get back into the Portugal national team.” Bruma told O Jogo.

“Of course it was amazing to hear this from Mourinho and he said he will keep an eye on how I do this season.”

United could face competition from Leicester City and Southampton as reported by Eren Sarigul of Turkish-Football writing for ESPN.

Bruma has a total of 10 goals and eight assists in all competitions this season.
