Calhanoglu has been out for past few months serving a playing ban until the end of the season after FIFA ruled he broke an agreement to join Trabzonspor from Karlsruhe in 2011.
The attacking midfielder has been closely linked with Manchester United.
The Sun recently reported that Bayer would only accept offers that trigger his £32.25 million release clause.
Per the source, Manchester United and Chelsea interested in his services.
The Turkish international has revealed in the past that he would be open to playing for United in the future.
Calhanoglu told Turkish football broadcaster Lig TV the following: “Barcelona and Manchester United are huge clubs, it would be difficult to turn them down.”
