Man United Keeper Stint Nears Its End, Super Lig Return Possible

Altay Bayındır’s time at Manchester United appears to be coming to a close after a disappointing season with limited playing opportunities. The Turkish goalkeeper, who transferred from Fenerbahçe last summer, is expected to leave the English club.

The Aksam newspaper reports suggest that Bayındır is likely to return to the Turkish Super Lig at the end of the season.

Galatasaray has been linked with the goalkeeper and has reportedly expressed interest in bringing him back to Turkey.

A move to Galatasaray would be controversial as they are the rivals of Fenerbahce.

Fernando Muslera ís currently first choice keeper at Galatasaray but he is now 37-years-old and the club are looking for a long term replacement.

Bayindir meanwhile, has not hinted publicly that he is unhappy at United and has been trying to break into the team.

Bayındır has struggled to displace Andre Onana as Manchester United’s starting goalkeeper, resulting in minimal playing time.

The 25-year-old is reportedly seeking a team where he can secure a more consistent role but he is currently second choice at United and could still get his break depending on Onana’s form or injuries.

Bayindir will be hoping to book a place in the Turkish national team for Euro 2024 this summer but his lack of playing time could see him relegated to second or third choice keeper.
