Manchester United have made an enquiry for Galatasaray full-back Sacha Boey according to RMC Sport journalists Fabrice Hawkins.

Hawkins tweeted on X that United have made an enquiry and that the Lions have been unable to agree a one-year contract extension for the full-back.

It is worth noting that Boey is under contract until 2025 so Galatasaray are not under pressure to sell immediately but talks of a transfer exit have been rumoured for several months.

Boey was one of the key players in Galatasaray’s championship victory last season. The French right-back, who was not included in the first-team squad at the beginning of the season, was given a chance after Leo Dubois’ injury and never looked back.

Boey’s performances caught the attention of European clubs, and Galatasaray opened the door for a transfer at the beginning of the season for a fee of €25 million.

However, no club met Galatasaray’s valuation, and Boey remained at the club.

Boey’s impressive form has continued this season, and he is once again on the radar of several European clubs with United facing competition from Arsenal, Milan, and Marseille according to Fotomac.

Galatasaray is aware of Boey’s suitors and has offered him an improved contract.

However, Boey is reportedly holding out for a higher salary, and has rejected Galatasaray’s offer of an annual net wage of 1.5 million euros.

Boey is demanding 3 million euros per year.

The 23-year-old has been a star player for the Lions again this year. Galatasaray are first in the Super Lig and second in the Champions League.
