Galatasaray, locked in a heated championship race with rivals Fenerbahçe, are reportedly close to finalizing a stunning loan move for Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen according to Aksam.

The Danish star, previously identified as the “number 10 from the Premier League” that Galatasaray had been pursuing, seems poised to join the yellow-red side.

Eriksen, 31, was previously linked to Galatasaray and is now reportedly much closer to a transfer.

Negotiations with Manchester United are ongoing, with only minor details regarding the loan structure remaining to be ironed out.

The main sticking point appears to be a potential purchase option within the loan agreement, an issue that has stalled other Galatasaray transfer attempts this season.

Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk had publicly expressed his desire to add a high-profile foreign star and fill the remaining foreign player quota before the Turkish transfer window closes.

Eriksen, known for his technical prowess and versatility, is seen as a key piece for Buruk, capable of playing both in the number 10 and 8 positions.

If completed, the Eriksen deal would be a major coup for Galatasaray, bolstering their midfield and adding valuable experience to their title challenge.

The 31-year-old, who has played for Ajax, Tottenham, Inter Milan, and Manchester United, boasts a Transfermarkt value of 13 million euros and brings a proven track record of success to the Istanbul club.

With the Turkish transfer window closing on 8 February, all eyes are on Galatasaray and Manchester United to finalize the Eriksen deal.

This potential loan move could significantly impact the Turkish Super Lig title race, adding another layer of excitement to the already heated competition.
