Man United could offer Arsenal £30m for star man described as ‘world class’ on official club website
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is no stranger to Mesut Ozil from their time together at Real Madrid.
The Daily Star report that Mourinho is still a huge fan of Ozil and that United could offer £30 million for the playmaker in January or sign him on a free at the end of the season.
Per the source, United are willing to back Mourinho in his pursuit of the 2014 World Cup winner.
Ozil has under 12 months on his contract but has yet to sign a new deal.
The Red Devils take on Arsenal on the weekend in the Premier League.
United actually described Ozil as being the ‘One to watch’ on their official website and were full of praise for the playmaker of Turkish origin.

The Premier League giants wrote: “Mesut Ozil is in peak form and has returned from illness to showcase his world-class ability.
“Like Alexis Sanchez, he may be out of contract in the summer and has not yet committed his future to the Gunners, but the German remains a major influence and is capable of unlocking any defence.
“He has two goals and five assists from his last five Premier League outings.”
Ozil has picked up the Man of Match award in the last two Premier League games he has started.
The 29-year-old is often accused of not turning up in big games but he was the star of the show in the 2-0 win over Tottenham in the North London derby.
The Arsenal star also provided two assists and scored inside four minutes in the 5-0 win over Huddersfield mid-week.
