Man United official held talks with Turkish giants sporting director over defender in Stockholm after Europa League final
Turkish-Football reported that Galatasaray sporting director travelled to Stockholm for the Europa League final.
Ergun monitored on-loan Chelsea winger Bertrand Traore during the Manchester United and Ajax clash.
It now turns out that Ergun also held talks with Manchester United officials during his trip over Matteo Darmian according to Fotomac.
Per the source, the Galatasaray official made United aware that they are keen on signing Darmian on a loan move.

Ergun then held talks with the defender’s agent Manuel Montipo and made an offer.
Darmian’s representative is expected to hold further negotiations with the Galatasaray in Istanbul over the next few days.
The 27-year-old defender has struggled for playing time this season but did play 90 minutes in the Europa League final.
Darmian has remained coy over his future but did recently reveal that he has settled into life in Manchester.
“I’ve got another two years on my contract here and I am happy in Manchester,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Now, with a medal around my neck, is not the right time to talk about my future — we can do that later. But I cannot deny that I have settled in here perfectly.”
With United securing Champions League football it remains to be seen what plans Mourinho has in store for the Italy international.
Damian still has another two-years remaining on his contract but only made 18 Premier League appearances this season.
