Man United remain interested in signing £30m Kosovo international

Manchester United are keeping tabs on Fenerbahce star striker and Kosovo international Vedat Muriqi.

According to the Italian outlet Calciomercato, the Premier League giants are preparing a summer bid for the powerful striker.

Per the source, United have identified Muriqi as a back-up option for Marcus Rashford, who is currently sidelined with a back injury.

However, the report goes onto state that Fenerbahce have set a lofty £30 million price-tag on their star man.

Muriqi has been in impressive form for Fener this season with 12 goals and four assists in the league.

Calciomercato also states that Burnley and Aston Villa have expressed an interest in signing the Kosovo International.

Fenerbahce confirmed to Turkish-Football that several clubs have sent scouts at some point this season.

The club did not comment on whether they have received formal offers for the striker.

Muriqi joined Fenerbahce from Rizespor last summer for approximately £3.2 million has three-years remaining on his contract.

The 1,94m striker has eight goals to his name in 23 international caps for the Kosovo national team.

Man United are back in action on Monday 17 when they take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
