Man United reveal squad ahead of Champions League clash against CSKA, Besiktas target dropped

Manchester United suffered their first defeat of the Champions League against Basel a fortnight ago.

United could in theory finish the group third but that would involve CSKA having to win by seven goals and Basel would have to beat Benfica.

The Red Devils are likely to progress to the next round as leaders but will have to take care of CSKA at Old Trafford first.

Luke Shaw could appear for just the third time this season after being included in the squad.

Sergio Romero will replace David De Gea in goal against the Russians.

The United injury list contains Nemanja Matic, Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini, Phil Jones and Eric Bailly.

Fellaini was expected to be scouted by Besiktas who remain interested in the Belgium international.

A source close to Besiktas revealed to Turkish-Football that the Black Eagles have talks with Fellaini’s in England.

The 29-year-old has under 12 months left on his contract but has yet to sign an extension.
