Man United Rising Star Reveals What It Would Take To Avoid Old Trafford Exit Amid Barcelona Interest, Turkish Giants Enter Race

Manchester United midfielder Tosin Kehinde is out of contract today and considering his options moving forward.

The Manchester Evening News reports that Kehinde is in talks with United about extending his seven-year stay at the club.

Per the source, Kehinde would be prepared to snub interest from rival clubs if the Red Devils were to promote him to the first-team setup.

The 20-year-old does however, face mounting competition for a place in the team. Alexis Sanchez, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial all fighting it out for his favoured role on the left wing.

The Nigerian has had no shortage of interest with Barcelona B, Fenerbahce, Anderlecht, Amiens, Red Bull Salzburg and SK Brann all interested.

The MEN report that the interested parties are wary of paying a compensation fee before July 1.

Turkish-Football asked Fenerbahce for a comment regarding the Kehinde link.

The Yellow Canaries recently appointed sporting director Damien Comolli does have Kehinde on his shortlist.

The Istanbul based outfit are planning a squad overhaul replacing what is an aging team with younger players.

Fenerbahce manager Phillip Cocu is familiar with Kehinde from his time at PSV.

Cocu is prepared to give youth a chance next season and the Yellow Canaries could offer first-team squad assurances.

Barcelona B appear to have expressed the keenest interest.

The MEN report adds that Barca B side’s English-based scouts have monitored Kehinde this season and made contact with Kehinde’s representatives two-weeks ago.

The problem he faces at Barcelona is similar to United in terms of fighting for competition.
