Manchester United stepped up their chase of Basaksehir wonder-kid Cengiz Under after sending a scout to Turkey.

United sent a scout to keep tabs on Under in the Turkish league clash against Genclerbirligi.

The scout was spotted at the Fatih Terim stadium and took notes throughout the game.

Basaksehir ended up winning the game 2-1 and overtaking reigning champions Besiktas to move into first place in the league.

Under started against Genclerbirligi, putting on yet another impressive display.

The 19-year-old has been nicknamed the ‘Turkish Dybala’ due to his resemblance in both looks and playing style to the Juventus star.

As we previously reported United have been keeping close tabs on Under over the past few months.

Basaksehir president Goksel Gumusdag recently revealed that Premier League and La Liga scouts kept tabs on the rising star during the 3-1 victory over Besiktas.

“There were scouts from Premier League scouts and La Liga teams at the Besiktas derby,” Gumusdag was quoted as saying by Turkish-Football.

“I will reveal the details at the end of the season as I do not want to distract the team.

“We do not want to sell Under but will discuss this once the season is over.”

The Turkish international star was recently singled out for praise on the official UEFA website.

Under has played an integral role in Basaksehir’s success this season scoring nine times and providing seven assists in his debut season.

Basaksehir could end the week in first place if Besiktas lose against Bursaspor on Sunday.

If the Istanbul minnows were to win the league title it would be an underdog success story on par with Leicester City winning the Premier League.
