Trabzonspor President Ali Alioglu revealed that Manchester United sent a representative to the match against Alanyaspor on Monday to keep tabs on Yusuf Yazici and Abdulkadir Omur.
“They’ve been watching our players for a while. Today Manchester United and Lille scouted Yusuf Yazici and Abdulkadir Omur,” Ağaoğlu revealed after the game.
The Black Sea based side ended up beating Alanyaspor 4-2 with Omur and Yazici both getting their names on the scoresheet.
Fourth-placed Trabzonspor managed to close the gap with 3rd placed Beşiktaş to just three points in the process and take on the Black Eagles next in the league.
Both players have been linked with Premier League sides recently after an impressive season.
Yazici and Omur both rose through the ranks of the Trabzonspor academy to break into the first team.

Omur is into his second season as a first-team star despite being aged just 19.
The Turkey international made it clear in January that he is keen on a move to Europe.
Omur was asked about reported interest from Liverpool over the winter transfer window.
”Liverpool is a very important club,” he said.
“Of course, these offers are something that our club can talk about first. I want to achieve some success here. Without success here I do not have to go to Europe.
“My priority is Trabzonspor but I have a dream to play in Europe, I hope I play there one day. My dream is to succeed here and then go to Europe.”
The attacking midfielder has four goals and nine assists in 29 appearances this season.
Yazici meanwhile has also courted interest from across Europe.
The 22-year-old attacking midfielder is one of the highest rated players in the Super Lig and a seasoned international footballer with 30 caps to his name.
Yazici has three goals and three assists in all competitions this term for Trabzonspor.
