Galatasaray defender Ozan Kabak has been attracting widespread interest from across Europe since bursting onto the scene this season.

The 18-year-old defender has started the last four successive games for Galatasaray in all competitions, making his Champions League debut in the goalless draw against Schalke last week.

Kabak is set for his next big test on Friday when Galatasaray take on bitter rivals Fenerbahce in the Intercontinental Derby.

The rising star is set to start for the Lions at the Turk Telekom Arena.

Sources close to Galatasaray revealed that Manchester United will be among several clubs sending scouts to the game.

United scouted Kabak in the Schalke clash and have been keeping close tabs on the young defender.

Galatasaray have started to grow worried by the interest and are extending his contract with an improved wage packet to keep him on beyond the end of the season.

Kabak has made a total six starts for the Lions in all competitions this season.

The young defender was initially drafted in during an injury crisis in the Galatasaray defence which saw Maicon and Serdar Aziz battle with injury problems.

Galatasaray head coach Fatih Terim has been left so impressed with the former academy player that he is expected to keep the young defender on as his first-choice centre-back pairing with Aziz for the rest of the season.
