Man United star set for ‘crunch talks’ with Jose Mourinho as Champions League club plot January bid

Galatasaray have maintained their interest in Manchester United center-back Marcos Rojo.

The Lions have been on the hunt for a new defender after failing to replace Jason Denayer over the summer. Manager Fatih Terim has been forced into fielding 18-year-old Ozan Kabak this season due to injuries.

A source close to the Istanbul giants has told Turkish-Football.com that Manchester United’s Marcos Rojo is among the players on the clubs January transfer shortlist.

Galatasaray wants to sign Rojo on loan for one and a half seasons and are keen to include an option to buy the 28-year-old within the loan deal.

Per the source, Chelsea’s Gary Cahill also features on Galatasaray’s shopping wish list.

Rojo has the option to leave Man United in the summer after receiving interest from both Galatasaray and Fenerbahce. However, the Argentina international opted to remain at Old Trafford to fight for his place.

Rojo is yet to make a single appearance for Man United this season and appears to have fallen out of favor with manager Jose Mourinho.
