£27m Man United star set for transfer talks with Fenerbahce director Damien Comolli

Fenerbahce are set to step up their efforts to sign Manchester United out-of-favour left-back Luke Shaw.

A source close to the Istanbul giants has revealed to Turkish-Football that their newly appointed director of football Damien Comolli will meet with Shaw’s representatives during his trip to London.

Per the source, Comolli wants to gauge the England international’s willingness to make the move to Istanbul after he rejected a move to Fenerbahce back in January.

Fenerbahce are free to hold talks with Shaw without Man United’s permission as the 22-year-old has under a month remaining on his contract with the Red Devils.

Shaw is expected to leave Manchester United after falling out with manager Jose Mourinho. The former Southampton man has lost his place in the starting eleven and made just 11 Premier League appearances this season.

Meanwhile, the Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport have claimed that United are looking to replace Shaw with the Juventus left-back Alex Sandro.

Luke Shaw made the move to Manchester United from Southampton for £27 million back in 2014.
