Man United Target Confirms Offers Amid Reports Of £11.6m Bid Being Snubbed, Tottenham Also Plot Move For Turkish International Star

Trabzonspor attacking midfielder Yusuf Yazici has confirmed receiving offers from Europe amid reports of an £11.6m bid from Manchester United.

The Haberturk newspaper reported that Trabzonspor president Ahmet Agaoglu snubbed the bid and told the Red Devils they would have to return next summer for his star man.

Despite the report, Yazici has not completely ruled out leaving the Super Lig outfit this summer.

Yazici said: “I am honored by the offers, it is great to know you are wanted but I don’t want to say whether I will leave or not nobody knows yet but we will find out soon.”

Tottenham have also been closely linked with the 21-year-old attacking midfielder.

Sources at the club have told Turkish-Football that Spurs scouted the player throughout the season and have expressed an interest but would not comment on whether an offer has been made.

The Turkey international star has had no shortage of interest over the past season.

Yazici was snapped up by Mesut Ozil and Ilkay Gundogan’s agent Erkut Sogut last year which saw his profile rise further.

Ozil himself has praised Yazici and likened the player to himself in a recent interview in Hurriyet newspaper: “I really like Trabzonspor duo Yusuf Yazici and Abdulkadir Omur, they are incredible talents.

“Yusuf Yazici is an amazing No 10.

“We have a lot of similarities and I myself in him.

“His left foot, his position, his close passing and calmness on the ball.

“We will see Yusuf at a big European club in the near future.”

Yazici provided five assists and scored 10 times in 33 Super Lig appearances over the 2017-18 campaign.
