Man United target Ozan Kabak has €45m release clause in Schalke 04 contract

Manchester United target Ozan Kabak has a release clause in his contract with Schalke according to the latest reports from Germany.

According to Bild, Ozan Kabak’s contract with Schalke 04 includes a €45 million release clause. However, the clause will not come into effect until 2021.

Man United have been closely monitoring the 19-year-old defender in recent months.

A source close to the player has told Turkish-Football that United are around several Premier League clubs who have been watching Kabak this season.

Meanwhile, according to the Daily Mail Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United were interested in signing the Turkey international over the summer.

Kabak rose to fame at Galatasaray after featuring in the UEFA Champions League aged just 17. He subsequently joined Stuttgart before making the move to Schalke last July.

The Turkey international has established himself as a first-team regular at Schalke this season, scoring three goals in 16 Bundesliga appearances this season.

Kabak could start for Turkey in the upcoming Euro 2020 following the long-term injury to Merih Demiral.

The 19-year-old has four years remaining his contract with Schalke.
