Man United target won’t leave Liverpool in January window – Reds still in talks with star midfielder
Liverpool star midfielder Emre Can’s Liverpool future has been cast in doubt after failing to pen a new deal with the Merseyside based club.
Can has under five months left on his current deal and is free to discuss terms with European clubs.
The Italian outlet Delo Sport state that both Manchester United and Juventus are interested in signing the 23-year-old.
However, according to SkySports, Liverpool will not allow the midfielder to leave in January. Per the source, Can is still in talks with Liverpool over a new deal.
Can made the move to Liverpool from the Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen for £10 million back in 2014.
The Germany international has retained his place in Jurgen Klopp’s starting lineup despite failing to pen-to-paper on a new deal.
Can has made 25 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions this season. The Reds host their Merseyside rivals Everton at Anfield in the FA Cup on Friday evening.
