Man United team news: Mourinho facing injury crisis ahead of Man City derby

Manchester United will be looking to close the point gap on their biter rivals Man City this weekend.

The Red Devils host their City rivals at Old Trafford on Sunday, kick-off is scheduled for 16:30 (GMT).

United recorded a 3-1 win away to Arsenal last weekend and know a another victory this weekend will bring them within touching distance of City.

However, a win for Pep Guardiola’s side will see them increase the point gap to 11.

Man United boss Jose Mourinho is facing an injury crisis in midfielder. Record signing Paul Pogba is out after picking up a red card against Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Nemanja Matic and Michal Carrick are sidelined with injuries.

To make matters worse, Marouane Fellaini is facing a race against time to recover from a knee injury in time for this weekend’s Manchester derby.

Star defender Phil Jones could also miss out after picking up an injury while on international duty.
