Man United transfer news: £24m Jose Mourinho target addresses Barcelona future
Turkey international Arda Turan was closely linked with a move away from Barcelona over the summer transfer window.
The star midfielder was omitted from manager Ernesto Valverde’s squad and was linked with the likes of Man United and Arsenal.
England’s the transfer window slammed shut last week leaving Galatasaray as Turan’s only possible destination if he was to leave. The Turkish league window closes on September 8.
However, Turan has signalled his intention to remain at the Nou Camp for the long-term.

“I am happy in Barca,” Turan told reporters following Turkey’s defeat to Ukraine.
“I have three years of contract and I am going to stay.”
Spanish outlet AS recently claimed that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho held a keen interest in signing Turan.
The 30-year-old joined Barcelona from Atletico Madrid for £24 million two years ago. Turan registered seven assists and scored 13 goals in 30 appearances for the La Liga giants last season.
