Man United transfer news: Euro Giants to table bumper £7m deal for Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil
Manchester United are set to face serious competition in the race to sign Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil.
The 29-year-old’s future at the north London based club is cast in doubt after failing to pen a new contract. Ozil could even end up leaving Arsenal for free at the end of the season.
According to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, Juventus are set to table a bumper offer – in excess of £7 million – and hope Ozil’s international teammate Sami Khedira can help convince Ozil to make the move to Italy.

Khedira and Ozil have played together for Germany for years and were also on the same team at Real Madrid.
The source goes on to state that Ozil is open to a move to Italy as he has a desire to test himself in a new league.
However, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger recently stated that contract talks with the Germany international are ongoing.
Ozil could be in action for Arsenal tomorrow when they take on Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-final.
