Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is eyeing a shock January move for Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil, according to the Express.
Per the source, Mourinho has been keen on signing his former player for the past 12 months and wants the club to splash the cash in January.
The report goes onto state that United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward faces the prospect of having to please his manager once again when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
Ozil previously worked under Jose Mourinho during his spell at Real Madrid. The duo won the La Liga with the Spanish giants.
The former Germany international went onto join Arsenal for £42 million.
Ozil penned a £350,000 per-year deal with Arsenal in January and has over two years remaining on his contract.
