Man United transfer news: Star forward only to be allowed to leave on permanent deal

Fenerbahce and Everton target Memphis Depay will only be allowed to leave Old Trafford on a permanent deal, according to The Sun.

The Netherlands international has been frozen out of United’s squad by manager Jose Mourinho however, the Red Devils are not prepared to allow Depay to leave on a loan deal.

Per-the-source, Everton were hoping to sign Depay on loan with an option to sign him at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Fenerbahce held talks with Manchester United winger Memphis Depay over a loan deal a source close to the Istanbul giants told Turkish-football.

Per the source, an agreement was not reached and Depay is unlikely to join Fenerbahce on a temporary move over the winter.

Fenerbahce boss Dick Advocaat was keen on bringing in Depay who he has a long history with. The Dutch coach gave Depay his debut back when he was coach of PSV.

In other Man United transfer news the Sun report that Marseille have joined the race to sign Morgan Schneiderlin.

Depay found the back of the net seven times in 45 appearances last season but has played just 20 minutes of football in the Premier League over the current campaign under Mourinho.
