United boss Jose Mourinho headed into the game with an injury crisis.
Ander Herrera, Daley Blind and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have all been ruled out with injury.
Marouane Fellaini has however, made a surprise return earlier than expected and has been named on the bench.
Fellaini faces an uncertain future at United as he enters the last few months of his contract.
Turkish-Football have reported Galatasaray as being interested in the Belgium international and holding talks.
The Lions have however, yet to reach an agreement with his representatives.
