“We did not draw Manchester United again, so we will have to wait until the final then,” Albayrak was quoted as saying by Turkish-Football.
“Besiktas will face Manchester United in the final.”
Besiktas will however, have to find a way past Lyon first in the quarter-finals and then progress past the semi-finals.
United meanwhile face Anderlecht in the quarter-finals.
The two sides could of course meet each other in the semi-finals if they both make it to the semi-finals.
Besiktas have never actually reached the last-four of a major European footballing competition.
United have faced Besiktas once in European competition back in the 2009-10 Champions League.
The Red Devils beat Besiktas 1-0 in Istanbul while the Black Eagles won by the same scoreline at Old Trafford in Group B.
Besiktas ended United’s 23 match unbeaten home run in European competition following the victory.
The Istanbul based side also became the first away team to win at Old Trafford in the competition since 2005.
United have faced Turkish opposition in European competition 14 times, winning seven, drawing three and losing four.
The Red Devils biggest win was 6-2 against Fenerbahce in 2004 while their heaviest defeat was 3-0 against Fenerbahce the same season in 2004.
The Eagles are currently managed by former Turkish national team manager Senol Gunes who guided the Crescent Stars to third in the 2002 World Cup.
