Man United Winger Apologises to Galatasaray Fans For Teammates Behaviour

Manchester United winger Antony apologized to Galatasaray fans for Alejandro Garnacho’s goal celebrations in the 3-3 draw in the Champions League match day 5 Group A clash on Wednedsday.

Garnacho scored United’s first goal in their Champions League clash with Galatasaray and celebrated by cupping his ears to the crowd.

This gesture enraged the Galatasaray fans and Garnacho was confronted by Fernando Muslera, the Galatasaray goalkeeper after the incident.

United captain Bruno Fernandes appeared to try to subdue Garnacho but Antony was the one who stepped up to apologize.

The Brazilian winger raised his hands in a gesture of apology, and this was well-received by the Galatasaray fans.

United’s hopes of reaching the last 16 of the Champions League are now hanging by a thread. They must beat Bayern Munich in their final group game, and hope for a draw between Copenhagen and Galatasaray.

Erik ten Hag, the United manager, was critical of his team’s defending after the match. He said that they should have taken three points, and that they cannot afford to make the mistakes they made.

United have lost four points to Galatasaray in the group, the Lions won the game at Old Trafford by a 3-2 scoreline.
