Bayer Leverkusen star Hakan Calhanoglu has revealed that he would consider playing for Barcelona.
The Turkish international was asked what his opinion on reports that Barcelona are preparing a January offer for him.
Calhanoglu was quoted by Lig Tv as saying: “I have not said anything and there is nothing to talk about but of course if Barcelona made an offer I would have to consider it.”
The 21-year-old also revealed that he also had a lot of respect for Premier League giants Manchester United.
Barcelona and Manchester United are huge clubs it would be difficult to turn them down but I have not said anything about any transfers or anything of the sort.”
Calhanoglu has been closely linked with Barcelona and Manchester United over recent weeks with the Bild claiming that the Red Devils sent scouts to the last match between Roma and Bayer a fortnight ago.
The 21-year-old still has three-years left on his contract and Bayer CEO Michael Schade recently revealed that the club would only listen to offers of £28.9 million and above.
The Turkish international already has six goals and four assists to his name this season and has established a name for himself as a free-kick maestro. The Bayer playmaker already has 22 goals from direct-free kicks to his name.
