Luis Nani has handed Fenerbahce a transfer request according to the Turkish newspaper Sabah.
The report states that Nani is keen on a move back to one of Europe’s bigger leagues and has instructed his agents Lucas Brascherini and Andrea Pastorello to ask Fenerbahce permission for him to leave.
However, Sabah goes onto state that Fenerbahce are unwilling to offload their star man for anything under his release clause which is set at €8.5 million.
Manchester United are understood to have agreed personal terms with Nani according to Turkish media outlet DHA but are reluctant to match his release clause as they would end up paying more than they sold him for last season.
Interestingly DHA also claims that Fenerbahce will be able to name their price after June and considering they value the Portuguese international as being worth €15-20 million clubs wanting to sign Nani with immediate effect would be getting a bargain.
Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik claim that Liverpool are ready to activate Nani’s release clause while rivals Everton have also been closely linked.
Nani is however, unlikely to make a decision on his future until after Euro 2016 which will end in mid-July.
