Manchester City have the chance to move into first place in the Premier League if they are able to beat Brighton at the Etihad Stadium today.
Pep Guardiola’s side head into the match having won their last three games.
Brighton meanwhile are without a victory in their last four games but their last win came against Manchester rivals United at Old Trafford.
The Seagulls had the poorest away record of any Premier League side last season with 12 defeats.
Star playmaker Ilkay Gundogan was the star of the show during Man City’s win over Cardiff City last weekend.
The midfielder of Turkish origin has however, not been included in the match day squad for the Citizens.
In total, Guardiola has made eight changes from the EFL Cup starting lineup.
David Silva and Bernardo look set to play centrally in front of Fernandinho, with Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane out wide and Sergio Aguero up front.
Guardiola is unable to call upon Benjamin Mendy and Kevin De Bruyne due to injuries.
