Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is preparing an offer for Besiktas’ star midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup.
The Turkish Super League broadcaster LigTV state that Ozyakup has attracted the attention of clubs across Europe following his performances over the past year. LigTV go onto state that the Red Devils are poised to table an offer for the Turkish international.
Besiktas have already turned down approaches from West Ham and Lazio this summer and are holding out for an offer in the region of £20 million.
Ozyakup has another two-years remanning on his contract and although Besiktas do not want to see they could be tempted by an offer that meets their valuation.
Besiktas president recently reveal his recommendation for Ozyakup. Orman underlined that the 23-year-old’s next move would be to one of European footballs elite clubs such as United, Barcelona or Real Madrid.
“Ozyakup will not leave for a mid-table side like Lazio. He is a top level player who won the league title last season and will play Champions league football,” Orman stated in a press conference in June.
“When Ozyakup leaves Besiktas it will be for Manchester United, Barcelona or Real Madrid. A club of that calibre.”
Ozyakup scored 10 times and provided eight assists in all competitions playing a key role in the Istanbul giants title winning side last season.
