Manchester United’s disappointing season got even worse this evening following a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Fenerbahce in the Europa League.
Red Devils fans were confident going into game seeing that they thrashed Fenerbahce 4-1 just a fortnight ago however, their side were a goal down after just two minutes via a stunning overhead kick from Moussa Sow.
United’s night went from bad to worse when the former Sunderland man Jeremain Lens scored a perfectly struck free-kick to put the Yellow Canaries 2-0 up.
Captain Wayne Rooney gave his side a glimmer of hope when he scored from distance late in the second half however, Fenerbahce managed to hold on to their lead.
Following the game we took to social media to see how United fans reacted to their sides defeat.

You can't deny United are progressing under Mourinho. That goal came ages after Pedro's.

Pogba injured, Herrera suspended. Schweinsteiger will be captain soon if he hangs around long enough.

Zlatan does not seem to be in a very good mood.

If Rooney's over the hill, Zlatan's rolling down it.

Man United are stuck in a malaise. Two goals in four games – despite 71 shots and loads of possession. Worrying loss tonight. #mufc

Martin Skrtel looked gone at Liverpool. He's gobbled up Manchester United's attack tonight.

One decent goal from otherwise poor Rooney…that's the only positive. Even de Gea out of form but who wouldn't be behind that defence?
