Manchester United are reportedly stepping up their pursuit of Fenerbahce defender Ferdi Kadıoğlu.
The 24-year-old full-back enjoyed a breakout season in 2023/24, racking up 51 appearances for the Turkish club. His impressive performances caught the eye of several top European teams, especially after his standout displays at Euro 2024.

Previously linked with Brighton & Hove Albion, Kadıoğlu is now attracting interest from a Premier League giant.
According to journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, United officials have met with Kadıoğlu’s representatives to discuss contract details, a potential sign of a transfer agreement being negotiated with Fenerbahce.
He tweeted on X: ‘Manchester United have held talks with Ferdi Kadioglu’s agent and asked what personal terms his client will demand if an agreement is reached with Fenerbahce.’
The tweet follows a previous report that United have expressed a ‘serious interest’ in the versatile full-back.
The Turkish club is reportedly holding out for a fee of €35 million for their prized defender, whose contract runs until 2026. However, Kadıoğlu himself is said to be keen on a move to the Premier League.
United manager Erik ten Hag is currently facing a left-back crisis with both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia sidelined with injuries. The upcoming Community Shield clash against Manchester City further highlights the team’s need for defensive reinforcements.
Kadıoğlu’s versatility, technical skills, and ability to play on both flanks make him a potential solution for United’s defensive woes. His arrival would provide much-needed depth and flexibility for the Red Devils as they prepare for the new season.
