Manchester United are prepared sell the German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger for just £2 million according to the German tabloid Bild.

According to Bild, United want to cut their losses on Schweinsteiger in order to sell him as fast as possible.

Meanwhile the Sun states that United boss Jose Mourinho has been told by the board that he must get rid of some high earning players in order to to sign Southampton’s Jose Fonte.

The Red Devils could be given a lifeline by Turkish giants Galatasaray who have shown an interest in bringing in the experienced midfielder on a temporary move a source close to the club told Turkish-football.com.

Turkish daily sports paper AMK also report that the Lions are willing to pay up to half of Schweinsteiger’s salary.

Schweinsteiger future at United looks to be over after the newly appointed manager Jose Mourinho relegated him to train with the reserve side earlier this month.
