Trabzonspor midfielder was in a reflective mood today as he decided to share a throwback photograph from his time at Chelsea.
The photo shows him alongside Blues legend Didier Drogba and former striker Salomon Kalou.
Mikel wrote ‘memories’ in his story alongside a few emojis.
The trio spent six seasons together at the London based outfit. Mikel actually played 10 seasons for Chelsea, Drogba eight and Kalou six.
The story comes the same day that Mikel posted a message on Instagram calling for the Turkish league to be suspended.
Unlike the Premier League which will be called off until April 3 at the earliest, the Super Lig will be played behind closed doors.
Mikel sparked controversy after raising his opinions but his message will likely fall on death ears as the Turkish Football Federation has made their position on the matter clear.
