Mesut Ozil and Arsenal are not as good without star Santi Cazorla
Both Arsenal and Mesut Ozil are missing the presence of the Spain international midfielder Santi Cazorla.
Stats from SkySports have revealed that the Gunners do not perform as well when Cazorla doesn’t play.
According to SkySports, Arsenal have averaged 2.15 points in the 85 games Cazorla has featured in. Meanwhile, points average dropped to 1.7 in the 54 games he didn’t play in.
Furthermore, Mesut Ozil scored more goals, had touches of the ball in the box and made more key passes with Cazorla on the pitch.
“Of course, you miss always Cazorla,” Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
“From deep midfield into the final third, with his pass he is always quick and accurate.”

Unfortunately for Arsenal, the 32-year-old has spent the majority of the season on the sidelines. In-fact, Cazorla has been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to an ankle injury.
The Gunners were level on points with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at the top of the Premier League when Cazorla last made an appearance.
However, things have taken a turn for the worse as Arsenal find themselves in forth place, ten points behind leaders Chelsea.
Arsenal take on title rivals Liverpool in their next Premier League game on March 4.
