Arsenal fans appeared pretty pleased with Mesut Ozil extending his contract until 2021 last week.
The new agreement could however, inadvertently end up pushing out Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck.
The Daily Mail report there is growing anxiety over whether the fact Arsenal pay £350,000 a-week for Ozil and £200,000 a-week for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could cause problems in trying to get the England international to sign a new deal.
Welbeck has 18-months remaining on his contract and is reported to be in a rush to sign a new deal.

Arsenal could be reluctant to offer a pay increase considering that they are paying for Ozil and Aubameyang as well as the fact Welbeck has fallen even further behind in the pecking order following the arrival of the Gabon international.
The latest developments have alerted Besiktas who Turkish-Football reported are interested in Welbeck.
The Black Eagles added Welbeck to their shortlist of potential replacements for Cenk Tosun who joined Everton in January.
The reigning Super Lig champions did not end up making a formal bid for Welbeck but did not replace Tosun with a like for like forward either.
Besiktas will be in the market for a striker in the summer and are considering targetting Welbeck again under the right circumstances.
