Mesut Özil is a ‘spectacular player’ says Santi Cazorla [divider]
Arsenal star Mesut Özil is a spectacular player according to fellow teammate Santi Carzola.
“Mesut Özil is another footballer whose qualities are recognisable to everybody in the world from his time at Real Madrid. He’s a spectacular player,” Carzola told FourFourTwo.
The Spanish international also rates Alexis Sanches and Laurent Koscielny as top class players.
“His performances at Arsenal have been really first class. I knew of him from when he was at Barcelona and he’s a player who’s going to be very important for Arsenal,” Carzola said.
“Looking elsewhere, Laurent Koscielny for me is a great defender and there are very few players like him in the world. Of course I could give you more but I think these three are good examples.”
Özil is currently out injured and not expected to return until the new year.
The 26-year-old playmaker recently praised his fans via social media for the support they have shown him following his injury.
Özil shared a picture via his Instagram with the caption, “Sooo many get well soon messages, Wow, you’re simply amazing! Many thanks to every single one of you out there!”
